Juniper, Maxeler Partner on High-Performance Network Switch

New switch combo will improve latency, performance and predictability, officials say.

Building on Juniper's existing technology and in partnership with Maxeler Technologies' customizable software logic─for offloading processing of compute-intensive, real-time, deterministic, latency sensitive applications, datacenter automation, scale and compute power that accelerates packet flow processing and takes advantage of Juniper's carrier-grade operating system─the switch and module will allow financial firms to make decisions faster and take advantage of real-time market opportunities by making split-second analysis based on significant amounts of data, and to distribute computing across their datacenter network infrastructure and achieve ultra-high performance, low latency and predictability.
