JPX brought together the two primary exchanges in Tokyo (pictured) and Osaka.

While the derivatives market is scheduled to move on to the OSX's J-Gate in March, the JPX says that it is inviting bids for a new trading system to raise the exchange group's profile in Asian derivatives trading. Its stated goal is to launch the system by 2016, with online bids accepted until February 18, and a submission deadline for initial examination set at March 5. A final selection will take place at the end of June or beginning of July, with a series of proposal and proof submissions during the interim.
