Bats Chi-X CEO Argues for Simplified European Clearing

Hemsley was joined by LSE's Adrian Farnham, CEO of the LSE's Turquoise platform, on a panel in London yesterday, which focused on proposed regulatory changes to European clearing, as outlined in the second Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid II).

The consensus of the group, which also included speakers from Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas Securities Services, SunGard, and host SIX Securities Services, was that interoperability between central counterparties (CCPs) would be of paramount
