Can the EU and UK reach T+1 together?
Prompted by the North American migration, both jurisdictions are drawing up guidelines for reaching next-day settlement.
The EU and UK are forging ahead with efforts to prepare their markets for a migration to one-day settlement cycles. Following North America’s transition to T+1 in May, both jurisdictions have now formally recognized the need to shorten their own settlement windows, with Q4 2027 mooted as an approximate target by the UK.
