Boston-based State Street grew FX trading revenues by 13 percent between Q2 2016 and Q2 2017.

James Reilly has joined State Street as global head of FX market technology provider Currenex, while Beverley Doherty has been appointed global head of FX Connect, State Street’s FX execution venue.

Doherty was most recently chief operating officer and North American head for GlobalLink, State Street’s suite of e-trading platforms, technology, data and workflow solutions.

Reilly joins State Street from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was most recently global head of foreign-exchange sales and trading, with the remit of expanding the business and creating new partnerships. Reilly’s predecessor, David Newns, has taken on the role of global head of GlobalLink Execution Services.

“David’s expanded role will allow him to focus on leveraging technology across platforms and creating synergies in GlobalLink’s core execution and trading platforms, and will help us better meet our clients’ challenges in the FX industry,” said Martine Bond, head of GlobalLink, in a statement. “I’m also excited to have James on board as his reputation as a leader and innovator gives me great confidence in his ability to take our business to the next level.”
