Markit Unveils CLO Pricing Service

Financial pages

UK-based data vendor Markit has launched a new service for pricing tranches of collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), in response to client demand for a quality, independent source of CLO pricing to support price discovery, verification, valuation and risk management.

The service -- an expansion of Markit's existing evaluated pricing business for securitized products and bonds that will be further expanded later this year to cover mezzanine and equity tranches of CLOs -- values more than 5,000 investment-grade tranches of US and European CLOs using observable market data and models, and will also provide clients with details of the inputs and assumptions used for full transparency.
