Hammond Organizes Index Applied Research at MSCI
Index provider MSCI has hired Brett Hammond as managing director and head of index applied research in New York, with responsibility for defining the vendor's applied research strategy to support its index business, reporting to Remy Briand, global head of index and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) research.
Hammond was previously chief investment strategist at investment manager TIAA-CREF, where he spent more than 18 years, prior to which he held academic roles at The National
