Roberts Group Names Tech Exec Thompson to Board, Reflecting ‘Repositioning' to Broader ‘Enterprise Spend Management'

The vendor is broadening the range of expense categories that can be tracked and managed in its FITS platform beyond market data.

Thompson was most recently executive vice president and general manager of the mobile division of voice communications, recognition and transcription technology vendor Nuance Communications, which he joined in 2004 as a result of its acquisition of SpeechWorks, where he was vice president of marketing. He has also served as an associate at AT Kearney, focusing on high-tech companies, and as a mechanical engineer at Acco Engineered Systems.
