The Tabb report─which surveyed a selection of the major bond data providers to establish the current state of fixed income market data against a backdrop of increased electronic bond trading and regulatory change─found that data vendors must leverage a wide array of datasets including metadata such as issuance size, credit ratings, region, reference data and benchmarks to provide the context necessary to price illiquid fixed income instruments in a more accurate and timely manner.
