LCH.Clearnet Selects New US CEO

Weisbrod joins LCH.Clearnet after a lengthy career at JPMorgan.

Weisbrod, a 40-year veteran of JPMorgan, will oversee the group's continued US expansion. Most recently, he held the position of vice chairman, risk management for the bank, sat on its Corporate Risk Policy group, and chaired its Exchange and Clearinghouse Steering Committee.

He has also served on the board of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, and has been active in several New York Federal Reserve committees. Prior to his last role at JPMorgan, he spent 10 years as the firm's chief risk officer in its Treasury and Securities Services Division. He currently sits on the CLS Group Holdings board, which mitigates settlement risk in the interbank foreign exchange market.

Weisbrod will work in tandem with group CEO, Ian Axe, in developing the firm's US strategy.
