State Street Names Robert Rushe Head of ETP Servicing in Ireland

State Street has appointed Robert Rushe head of exchange-traded products (ETPs) servicing in Ireland. He joins from Bank of Ireland Securities Services.

"Product innovation is a key ingredient in promoting Ireland's appeal as a major financial services center to an increasingly sophisticated international client base," says Susan Dargan, COO for State Street Global Services in Ireland. "Robert has played a critical role in enhancing the servicing of ETPs and this appointment further strengthens State Street's credentials in this area."

According to State Street, Rushe will be in charge of all things "exchange-traded," including developing the firm's product suite.

BST's Analysis:
Rushe is a logical pick as he helped to create Ireland's first ETF product in 2000 while at the Bank of Ireland.
