ICD Chooses Volante for Data Integration
The technology arm of International Cash Distributors (ICD), a vendor of investment and risk management tools, has chosen to use the Volante Designer integration mapping tool provided by technology vendor Volante, to help it integrate and transform Swift transactions, payments and reports.
Designer can be used to take data from any source and transform it into a different format at any destination. ICD will use Volante Designer to help it integrate Swift FIN messages for payments and cash management; Bank Administration Institute (BAI) 2 messages; proprietary messages in XML and other formats; and ISO 20022 messages in the future.
"Volante Designer is being used to insulate ICD's internal applications from the disparate data formats used by ICD's clients and for downstream processing," says Vijay Oddiraju, Volante's New York-based chief executive officer. "Volante is being used to translate proprietary data to standard formats such as SWIFT and BAI2. In addition, Volante handles response messages which are then reconciled with the original outbound messages, thereby completing the transaction."
Oddiraju says ICD has undertaken the project to improve its straight-through-processing rates, onboard clients faster and reduce costs.
