People Moves: BMO, Drawbridge, FinLync, GoldenSource, and more

A look at some of the key "people moves" from this week, including Lindsay Black (pictured), who has been appointed managing director of strategic initiatives in BMO's data & analytics group.

BMO bets on Black

Canadian bank BMO Financial Group has hired Lindsay Black in Toronto as managing director of strategic initiatives in the firm’s data and analytics group. She will help BMO leverage its data and analytics capabilities to create personalized experiences for clients. Her hire is part of broader initiatives by the bank to invest in cloud, data, and artificial intelligence.

Black joins BMO from CPP Investments, where she was senior manager for data and advanced analytics, prior to which she was a senior sales manager at FTSE Russell, and vice president of index sales at MSCI. Before that, she spent eight years in sales and account management roles at Canadian exchange TMX Group, and was an inside wholesaler at First Trust Portfolios Canada.

At BMO, she will report to Sandip Sahota, enterprise chief data and analytics officer.

Drawbridge appoints Scott DePetris president and COO 

Drawbridge, a provider of cybersecurity software and solutions to the alternative investment industry, has named Scott DePetris president and chief operating officer and appointed him to the board of directors. In his role, DePetris will drive Drawbridge’s global strategy and business operations to meet new client and market requirements and continue to scale the business through a period of growth. 

DePetris currently serves as executive advisor and board member to Broadway Technology and was most recently COO at the vendor. He is also a board member at Salt Financial. DePetris was a co-founder and the former president and COO of Portware, a leading developer of broker-neutral automated trading software for global equities, futures, options and FX that was acquired by FactSet. 

DePetris began his career as a specialist in equity derivatives at Goldman Sachs and traded energy commodities at ICAP.

FinLync adds senior hires to team

FinLync has added a chief operating officer, chief revenue officer, vice president of global marketing and director of product marketing to its leadership team. These hires include Michael Friedman, COO; Don Mulroy, CRO; Sarah Pease, vice president and global head of marketing; and Claudia Gonzalez, director of product marketing.

Friedman is charged with ensuring operational excellence across the entire organization, including engineering and development, product delivery, internal finance, and long-term growth. Before joining FinLync, Friedman led business operations at startup ASAAP and grew numerous software businesses within Monitor Deloitte, the strategy consulting practice of Deloitte Consulting.

Mulroy will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth while ensuring client, employee, and business partner satisfaction. He was previously the CRO at CoreView, and previously, the senior vice president of global sales at Datawatch.

Pease will lead FinLync’s global marketing team. Before FinLync, she was the Americas director of marketing at Kyriba. Pease brings more than 12 years of experience in B2B marketing for tech companies like Symantec, Events.com and Reval.

Gonzalez will be a guiding force behind FinLync’s thought leadership initiatives relating to treasury and finance, and will help mold the company’s product marketing strategy. She will also be involved in the pre-sales process, at times interacting directly with clients. Before FinLync, Gonzalez was a senior solutions engineer at Allvue Systems and Kyriba.

Golden Source names Xavier Gerardin as global head of OnDemand solution

GoldenSource, a provider of enterprise data management and master data management, has announced the appointment of Xavier Gerardin as global head of its OnDemand solution. Gerardin will lead the Global OnDemand managed service, which provides clients with dedicated hosting and technical and business assistance services for EDM clients utilizing both private and public clouds.

Gerardin previously served as director of hosted services and market data at Ion Markets and prior to that director of hosted solutions, trading and client connectivity, at SunGard Global Trading.

He will be based in London.

Swati Tyagi joins Sentieo as VP of product

Sentieo, a financial and corporate research platform provider, has named Swati Tyagi as vice president of product. She will guide the next iteration of Sentieo’s flagship platform and extend the capabilities of the company’s team.

Prior to joining Sentieo, Tyagi led the product management team for the flagship product at Diligent Corporation, a governance, risk and, compliance Software-as-a-Service vendor. Before that, Tyagi and the team at NPower established the product FoundationConnect from concept to production, leading to an acquisition by Salesforce in 2019.

Stock Exchange of Thailand promotes within to two EVP roles

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has promoted Ratvalee Anantananont to executive vice president and head of the sustainable development group and Putthipong Skonthawat to executive vice president and head of IT solutions. They will be instrumental in driving the organization’s business and social values.

Anantananont will oversee the exchange’s two sustainable development departments, as well as the sustainable education and promotion department. She joined the firm in 1991.

Skonthawat will oversee the IT solutions sales support department, IT solutions business development department and IT solutions systems department. He joined SET in 2000 and is also managing director of Settrade.com.

Patrick Bishop and Jeremy Toop added to Digiterre team

Digiterre, a software and data engineering consultancy, has announced the appointments of Patrick Bishop as sales director and Jeremy Toop as senior business development executive.

Bishop joins Digiterre from Scott Logic, where he was head of business development. He held previous roles at Bloomberg and Fidessa.

Toop has previously worked at Transaction Network Services, Fidessa, SIX, and Thomson Financial.        

Enfusion adds executive appointments

Enfusion, a provider of cloud-based investment management solutions, has made two executive appointments.

Peter Salvage has been named managing director of global channel and alliance partners. In this newly created role, he will lead the effort to drive awareness, lead generation, and revenue through Enfusion’s global partnership network. Labib Mahfouz will be joining as Americas executive director of channel and alliance partners. In his role, Mahfouz will report to Peter Salvage and will focus on deepening Enfusion’s relationships with existing partners and growing the partner network in the Americas.

Salvage joins Enfusion from BNY Mellon, where he served as managing director of the alternative investment services group and ran the bank’s credit, private debt, and hedge fund businesses. Prior to BNY Mellon, Salvage was managing director of SS&C Technologies’ hedge fund services, and held multiple leadership roles at Citi including Citibank’s EMEA head of hedge fund services, founder and business lead of Citi’s OTC derivative and bank loan services, and head of Citi Prime Brokerage’s portfolio management technology service.

Mahfouz joins from Axonic Capital where he was a user of Enfusion’s cloud-native services. Prior to Axonic Capital, he was chief operating officer at Tricadia and chief operating officer of credit trading at Barclays.
