Alex. Brown has signed on to beta test New York-based Arnhold & S. Bleichroeder's so-called Global Correspondent Brokerage Service (GCBS). GCBS, which is yet to be released, will offer domestic broker/dealers access to the firm's research, settlement and custody services. The beta test is slated to begin in September.
